Setsubun Party

On February 3rd, we celebrated Setsubun at our afterschool program with lots of fun activities! Setsubun marks the transition from winter to spring in Japan, and it’s a time for driving away bad luck and welcoming good fortune.
“Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!” (Out with the demons! In with good luck!)
It was a fantastic way to learn about Japanese traditions while having fun. Now, we’re ready to welcome good fortune for the year ahead!
