Each of our three afterschool programs — Midorino, Takezono, and Kurihara — held their own Otanoshimi-kai, a fun celebration for Japan’s Labor Thanksgiving Day.
This holiday is all about showing appreciation for the hard work, support, and care we receive every day from the important people in our lives.
To express their gratitude, the children created handmade omamori, or lucky charms.
They decorated each charm with care, adding their own colors, messages, and warm feelings.
These omamori were then gifted to parents, grandparents, and other special people as a sincere thank-you.
The day was filled with smiles, creativity, games, and a lot of excitement.
It was a wonderful chance for the children to express themselves and share kindness in their own way.
We hope you enjoy these moments from the event and feel the joy and gratitude the children put into their creations.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your continued support.
